Reception

If you would like to join us for a school tour, please reserve your place by completing the form below.

Starting school should be an exciting experience for both you and your child so we hope that the information we have provided will begin to answer some of the questions you may have and help you prepare you for your child's first day here at Whittingham Primary Academy.

Applying for a Reception Place:

You must apply for a reception class place for your child even if they attend a school nursery or have an older brother or sister at your preferred school. If your child currently attends a nursery attached to a school this does not give them any priority for a place in reception class at that school.

You can apply through the eAdmissions website. The Starting Primary School 2026 guide (PDF) has all you need to know. This guide explains how to apply for your child’s school place online (PDF).

Breakfast & After School Clubs

We currently have breakfast and after school club provided by the YMCA, with timings outlined below. If you wish to register your interest in your child attending, please contact: michelle.irish@ymcaspg.org

Breakfast Club	7.30 - 8.45
After School Club	3.30 - 6pm

Additionally, the school offers a variety of after school clubs such as gymnastics, multi sports & street dance. These are shared in the autumn term and parents sign up via the main office.
