Welcome to Whittingham Primary Academy
From Monday 23rd March, the school will be closed until further notice for the overwhelming majority of students. This is a directive from the government and is part of the national strategy to control the spread of COVID-19. Pupils will now continue their learning from home. We have developed the learning materials that each pupil needs to work from home and these can be accessed here.
The school will remain open to support the children of critical workers and vulnerable pupils. Jobs and professions that are defined as being critical workers are outlined here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-maintaining-educational-provision/guidance-for-schools-colleges-and-local-authorities-on-maintaining-educational-provision
Whilst school is closed we are very much still available to speak with parents and members of our community. Please follow the normal communication channels by calling our office or emailing us. We will be sending out regular updates to parents but if you have any urgent questions please contact us.
Any urgent safeguarding issues should be reported to Helen Smith (DSL) or Christian Albert (DDSL) via firstname.lastname@example.org.
On behalf of all the staff at Whittingham Primary Academy, I would like to thank you for all your co-operation and support. Learning from home is a partnership between parents and school and we will come through this together as a school community.
Please keep safe and follow all the guidance on hygiene and social distancing to minimise you and your family’s risk of infection.
Stay safe and take care.
